HOBBIES
When I’m not teaching or performing, I LOVE to go hiking, and go to any body of water (lake, ocean etc.) and just generally be outdoors. Camping and campfires are my favorite. I have climbed Mt. Katahdin (the highest mountain in Maine) 7 times and counting since I go almost every summer. I also enjoy taking my 4wheeler out for rides. My boyfriend Adam and I have 3 cats. Their names are - Poco Loco, Harley Elizabeth Softtail and the newest edition, Xavier Gus Gus. Be sure to ask me for recent cat photos if you are an animal lover!
ABOUT ME
This 23-24 school year is my 9th year teaching Orchestra and General Music at SMS. I grew up in Alfred, Maine and have one sibling (my brother - Joe) who is 22 months younger than me. I currently live in Hollis. I started learning to play the violin when I was four and have been playing ever since! I attended Ithaca College in New York and graduated with a music education degree and violin performance degree in 2013. I briefly lived in London (while in college) so ask me about the city and other places in Europe!
When I am not teaching at SMS, I am usually at my violin/viola private teaching studio in the Pepperell Mill in Biddeford. I also currently work as a freelance musician and play wedding gigs and other events. I frequently play with the Lakes Region Symphony in NH. I am one of the orchestra conductors for Southern Maine String Camp and have taught there for over 10 years.
